Summary/Abstract: The paper identifies and examines both advantages and disadvantages of traditional and electronic trade from the point of view of young final purchasers. The paper presents the results of questionnaires conducted among 461 young clients of both traditional and internet shops. The conducted research shows that respondents making shopping in traditional shops esteem high safety of that kind of shopping as well as after sales service and the possibility to see and test the products. In the internet shopping the clients esteem high the lower level of prices comparing to traditional shops as well as the aspects concerning the great convenience and elasticity of shopping.
