Summary/Abstract: The subject of our article is to make a general retrospective of determinative structures of the Macedonian national movement in the 19th century period. Our goal is to present the specific characteristics of the Macedonian national movement which, from the aspect of modern theories, does not make it a theoretical exception, but rather that it can be treated as an exception that proves the rule. In this regard, the key topics that are considered are the linguistic, social, and economic conflicts with respect to the Macedonian national movement in the said period. The crisis in the state-legal system and the aggressive propaganda activity of the neighboring Balkan countries in the cultural and social life of the Macedonians formed the basis for the emergence of a new internal structure embodied in the organized Macedonian revolutionary movement.
