The Relationship Between the Causes of Occupational Accidents in Health Workers Working in Operating Rooms on the Level of Occupational Accident Management Approach and Use of Personal Protective Equipment

Summary/Abstract: This study aims to reveal the relationship between occupational accidents in health workers working in operating rooms on the level of occupational accident management approach and use of personal protective equipment. The questions of the survey conducted on the operating room workers are related to the use of personal protective equipment, the occupational accident management approach and the causes of occupational accidents. The following hypotheses were confirmed from the correlation analysis conducted: “There was a significant relationship between the variables of occupational accidents and the occupational accident management approach (p<0.05)” and “There was a significant relationship between the variables of occupational accidents and the use of personal protective equipment (p< 0.05).” In the conclusion part of the research, recommendations were given to the executives and the researchers interested in the subject.
