Summary/Abstract: The article concerns nominal derivatives referring to narcotics addicts, psychoactive substances, activities and conditions related to using them as well as objects used to get under theirinfluence. Word formation models used in the jargon of narcotics addicts generally functionsimilarly to the productive word formation models of the common language. Among the number ofnominal morphological derivatives, simple derivatives - suffixal and paradigmatic - are mostcommon. There are not many complex derivatives (composite). The phonetic manner of formingnew words can be considered a typical jargon word formation procedure. This manner includes thefollowing phenomena: metathesis (transposition of sounds), substitution (replacement of the rightsound by another one) or using the first letter instead of the word.
