Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the issue of drug nominations above the word level. It assumed that every jargon expression composed of two or more elements is a phraseologism. Theanalysis encompasses 274 phraseological expressions excerpted from the most recent lexicographicsources. Among the analyzed drug nominations there were observed all kinds of expressionsdivided according to semantic as well as formal criteria. Moreover, phraseological phonetic, morphological-grammatical, word-formation and lexical variants were distinguished.
