Summary/Abstract: The results testifying the influence of psychological alienation and subjective meaning of experiencing profession as a significant contribution into the development of professional burnout syndrome are presented. High intensity of professional burnout is characterized by high meaningful alienation and suffering from personal subjective low self-rating as a significant profession representative. The causes and effects of psychological alienation are emotional exhaustion, dehumanization of labour communications and the reduction of personal achievements. The phenomenon of meaningful alienation relates to the satisfaction with self-realization and personal subjective high self-rating as a significant profession representative. Psychological alienation may refer to professional deformation of a personality. The indices of meaningful alienation and personal subjective low self-rating as a significant profession representative can be used as indicators for professional burnout diagnostics.
