Determinants of candidate advantage in communal executive direct elections

Summary/Abstract: The article shows how the factors that can be regarded as significant influence the advantage of particular candidates in communal executive direct elections. Multiple regression analysis was performed to investigate this issue for elections which took place in 2006, 2010 and 2014. The outcome of the analysis suggests among others that those who apply for re-election for the first time have the greatest advantage over the other incumbents.
