Summary/Abstract: The article tells about Ludmiła Marjańska’s end-stage work and especially concentrates on her last poetry volume I’m opening the dream and poems preserved only in manuscripts. The authoress left a lot of poems in manuscripts. The last collection dated for 2004-2005 includes poems written just before her death. We find in them a kind of melancholic atmosphere, which is close to remembrance and reflections on her life. The article describes the writer's journey to the farthest regions of her memory. Its aim is to find the area of childhood in her poetry. The determinants of childhood are defined by the philosophy of Gaston Bachelard. The researcher, after analyzing childhood, discovers so called moments of poetic existence. They can manifest themselves in landscapes create by a poet, especially in the openness of a landscape. The childhood can be also brought through the senses such as taste, smell and hearing. The poetry of Ludmiła Marjańska reveals such moments, but in her own very special way – appropriate for her. One of them is to follow from the microcosm towards the feeling of integration with universe. In addition, a condition that helps return to the past is loneliness. Ludmila Marjańska evokes images of the past by building them from the matter perceptible to the poetess by touch, thereby she finds the center of childhood and transforms it into lines of poetry.
