Summary/Abstract: Education is a process that directs individuals towards target and gives individuals information behavior change skills. Economic and social effects of increasing human capital that affect the formation of the so-called source of manpower, social and economic progress of societies believed to play an important role in the importance of education has been increasing recently. It is not possible to explain economic well-being by physical capital itself. Education at work in the area of education as a production factor, labor force skills and productivity through the capacity development of national income has contributed to the growth. The purpose of this study is to describe the relationship between education and economic growth. In the study, the relationship between education expenditure and economic growth for the period 1998Q1-2012Q3 were investigated through the Toda-Yamamoto causality test. Also, according to the empirical findings, there is unidirectional causality from education expenditure to economic growth.
