Summary/Abstract: In history, every society aimed at shaping the upbringing and educational environment to help provide certain learning possibilities for people throughout life. However, the science of high technologies reveals the real possibilities of building one’s upbringing and educational environment, hat is, learning society. High technologies quickly and efficiently sum up the “social dissipation of learning” into one confluent, integrating learning process, making it direct and accessible. In other words, integral social production that is based on science of high technology creates the conditions for learning society. In this process, several types of learning nucleuses are created, small learning societies and communities”, that can be connected in many ways (networked society). These learning cores gradually transform into what might be called learning society. This work aims to point out the progressive and legitimate tendency of historical, social, scientific and technological development of learning society as well as the tendency of transforming learning and knowledge into a merchandise and a man into a resource, tool, work force, and even commodity. The paper also points out the necessity of today’s problematisation and thematisation of learning society; the need for a gradual abandonment of the view that only the school and the school system are the knowledge sources; that different social forms of learning and teaching have no link and only are to occur in the sequence of building one after another. The paper represents and explains the view that learning society is the same as humanely building of upbringing and educational environment.
