Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes some of the most important results of human brain studies concerning linguistic categorization of the world. It is shown that there are valid reasons to believe that speakers use multiple categorization strategies. In this light, the author describes a model of colour categorization involving Ukrainian colour names.
