DETAILED ANALYSIS OF VALUE ADDED PREDICTION OF ROAD TRANSPORTATION

Summary/Abstract: Road transport has the most important share in the transport sector and is the most commonly used way of transportation. It is particularly important in environmental settings that do not let other types of transportation. Requiring significant investments in infrastructure, road transport is characterized by difficult to implement and long-term investments with longer terms of return on investment. While on the one hand enabling integration throughout the world, road transport is also expected to respond to the requirements of the globalized world as a developing sector within the framework of the demand-supply interaction on the other. This study makes an added value analysis of road passenger transportation, which is of particular importance for Turkey.
