Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the use of sacral images, motives, themes by Taras Shevchenko’s writings and painting. The semiotic interactions in the Ukrainian artist’s works is analyzed. The typology of biblical themes in Taras Shevchenko’s painting and poetry is investigated.
