Summary/Abstract: Church faithful to the mission of proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, fills this mission regardless of the political situation of the country, adapting the way of proclaiming the truths of the faith to the prevailing conditions and opportunities for customers. When the communist government in Poland, aiming to secularization of the education system by Law of 15 July 1961 removed the teaching of religion from schools, the church moved to catechesis to catechetical points. This article is an attempt to present the working methods of the Security Service (of the Ministry of Internal Affairs) aiming for full control and obstruction of teaching religion. Security Service operating activities was focused on obtaining statistical data points, forcing the clergy to submit to the orders of the state relating to the registration and reporting of religious education. Despite the numerous activities hamper the activities of the security ministry, the Church organized an efficient network of religious education. Giving children and young people the opportunity to grow in faith and shaping the Christian system of values. Selfless work of catechists repressed by the state was supported by the curia Gorzowska, which sought to boost the catechetical work. Documents produced by the Independent Section, Division IV are made available by Archives of the Institute of National Remembrance and are an important source material for further research.
