Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the perception of Poland as the basis of Ukrainian-Polish relations issued by literary critical reports made by the Ukrainian authors in the XIXth — beginning of the XXth century, such as I. Franko, M. Evshan, D. Dontsov, and the others. A certain reaction caused by Ukrainian national formation has been observed.
