Summary/Abstract: In the village Comloșul Mare ( in older times times: Comloș) there existed the only Court Theatre in Banat in the 19th century. In the records about theatres in this region there is no information about this theatre which was founded and supported by Nako Counts in the period of time between 1840 and the 60s of the 19th century. The present article deals with what has been known about this theatre (the building was renovated recently). In 1840 Janos de Nako moved from Vienna to Comlos and employed an Italian opera troupe, managed by composer Luigi Guglielmi. Artists well known in those times performed on this stage in Comloș. The repertoire included Guglielmi creations. If we read the musical chronicles from Budapest of the time, we find out that the most important interpreter was the tenor Janos Nako, the owner of the theatre. It is not known if the activity of the theatre came to an end after the latter's death on 12th September 1848. After the year 1860, the Nakos employed theatre directors from Vienna or from Transilvania region (Julius Senzel, Alfons de Zerboni di Sposetti), the repertoire being partly known. Nevertheless, the local researchers should be deeply involved in studying this theatre that is unique in its own way.
