Budget situation of the EU member states in light of the European Semester – recommendations for Poland.

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses major EU regulations adopted in the aftermath of the recent financial and economic crisis with particular focus on the European Semester – the annual cycle of macroeconomic and budgetary policy coordination in the EU. The study highlights the economic situation of Poland compared to other EU member states and describes the Council’s recommendations for Poland under the second European Semester. Additional statistical data are given in the appendix.
