Children and youth tourism in the region of Greater Poland

Summary/Abstract: Organized trip away from home is a conscious and planned action to deepen cultural interests and sightseeing according to the individual needs of the participants. Days off from school are an excellent opportunity to take care of holidays for children and young people. Different forms of recreation complement the work of schools and help to promote physical activity. The article presents the basic features of the extracurricular activities of children and youth tourism in the region of Greater Poland. Considerations are based on data obtained from the Education Information System, and the results of empirical research conducted on a random sample of students from schools in Greater Poland.
