Summary/Abstract: “Waldenburger Heimatbote” has been published since 1949. The periodical is addressed to the German displaced persons from Wałbrzych county, who left Lower Silesia after 1945. The author is going to make a presentation of the periodical and to characterize those its elements which cultivate the memory of the past and rescue from oblivion the people, facts, places of the former Wałbrzych, and also to emphasize the importance of this type of press for the local communities.
