Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the problem of the event and everyday life in short stories from the 30-ies of XX century. The main points are: the road, the accident, the holiday and the art. The analysis of the literary works of Konstantin Konstantinov, Chavdar Mutafov, Dimitar Shishmanov, Emilian Stanev, Pavel Vezhinov and others authors reveals that the event is interiorized; that this is a reflexive type of event. Therefore, the article concentrate on the different strategies of the man to overcome the emptiness of the everyday life and it shows that the only strategy that is successful, although in a paradoxical way, appears in the form of art.
