Summary/Abstract: The article presented the preliminary results of research on the relationship between the assess-ment of the information quality onf Websites related to health and their position in various rankings. The assessment of quality and selection of medical information contained in Websites is a difficult issue, both in methodological and practical terms. Also, it is quite expensive and for these reasons it is not widespread in Poland. Therefore, acquisition of reliable and accurate information is an important issue for the average user of Websites, who does not have medical knowledge and who cannot alone evaluate the quality of the information. Is it possible to use well-known website rank-ings to assess the quality of medical information available on specified Websites? Preliminary re-sults presented in this article are not encouraging and show that the PageRank, Web of Trust or Alexa are not suitable for evaluation of the information quality of the studied sites. Despite this, in the reviewed health Websites, the hypothesis that there is a relationship between the information quality and its position in rankings like PageRank or Web of Trust was verified
