FINANCING OF POLISH NATIONAL PARKS

Summary/Abstract: National parks generally is considered the highest form of protection of nature. The main objective of the creation of national parks is to protect biological diversity. At the same time, parks carry out tasks for the education, science and tourism. In Poland in the years 2010–2011 national parks were changes in particular in the form of organizational and legal. The aim of the article is the identification and evaluation of sources of funding for Polish national parks after the transition of this form of protection of nature. The study was conducted on the basis of the reports of the implementation of the financial plans of national parks in the years 2012–2015. Research shows that the importance of gaining funding national parks other than grants of the State budget, which may lead to a change in priorities in the functioning of the parks.
