Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on Davidescu family history of Neamţ county, akin to George II Metropolitan of Moldavia, who died in 1572. This hierarch of the 16th century, whose biography is less known in Romanian historiography, was blamed by contemporaries, especially since John the Terrible burned alive on him, and the chronicler Azarie no has words of praise about it. Appealing to several documents of ownership of the XV-XVII centuries, the author of these lines show that a sister of Metropolitan George II was married with Luca, the nephew of Iurie Davidescu. From this marriage resulted five children, the documents can show the descendants of only one of them, named John.
