Summary/Abstract: Along with socialism, accurate statistics on the Hungarian book market have fallen by the wayside, yet most experts would agree that total annual turnover is probably around 70-80 million dollars, a third of which is accounted for by textbooks. Approximately 40 percent of new titles are reference books.
