Summary/Abstract: Through the repeatability and duration in a specific position, ice hockey players are exposed to changes in the spine after a certain period of training. The aim of the study was the analysis of the impact of the multiannual ice hockey training in the players of Comarch Cracovia team on the posture of the players and changes in the spine area which they are exposed to. It was also analysed what deviations from the standards are taking place because of the asymmetry of assumed position in the frontal and sagittal planes. Spine testing was performed with an innovative Swiss instrument Medimousen. It allows for noninvasive measurement of spine curvature and movability in the frontal and sagittal planes. The study made among hockey players have shown that years of taking up this discipline affects the changes in the spine area, causing numerous deviations from the anatomic axis.
