Trust and Quality Assurance in Higher Education in the Knowledge Society

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the issue of trust and quality assurance in higher education. The paper describes the concept, types of trust in the knowledge society and the essence of quality assurance in higher education. Quality assurance of education is a tool to build trust in higher education. The article also presents the results of research concerning a selected element of internal quality assurance, related to trust in higher education.
