Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to diagnose areas of research collaboration by cognitive assumptions; the essence of the organization and the degree of generality of its objectives. In this article by using morphological analysis author create the model developed research dimensions of external cooperation taking into account cognitive assumption: the context of the two theories (praxeology and theory of organizational equilibrium), and determine the degree of generality of the objectives carried out by the organization from the perspective of its activities in the surroundings. The value of this article is to draw attention to the difficulties in defining and understanding the concept of external cooperation and to define the boundaries of the organization, which in the case of external collaboration are important.
