Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with German loanwords occurring in North-Eastern Polish dialects in the second half of the 19th century. The analyzed material has been excerpted from four considerably small dictionaries of dialectal vocabulary. Altogether, they contain 4,700 entries, among which 250 are borrowings from German. Various features of the excerpted material are characterized, i.e. etymology, chronology, lexicographical issues, derivational and phonetic aspects.
