Summary/Abstract: Ecotourism, despite of being on a tourist market till the end of 20th Century, is still understood very widely and often not precisely. Prefix “eco’ leads to numerous misunderstandings because still many people believe that this kind of tourism is only interested in natural values and resources, completely forgetting about cultural aspects and local communities role. In authors opinion ecotourism is rather the way of travelling, a form very demanding from both group – tourist and residents as well as the organizers and local authorities. Euroregions – due to their high quality of natural and cultural resources and values, already appreciated by the European Union, seems to be one of the most predestined areas for ecotourism development. The aim of this paper is to establish the inhabitants and tourist opinion about attractiveness of Euroregion Glacensis for the needs of ecotourism development and their attitude to the issue of ecotourism and euroregion also.
