Summary/Abstract: The X and XIIII Gemina legions were created by Caesar during the Gallic War, and were dislocated to several areas of the Empire throughout the first century BC and the first century AD. During the second century AD, the two legions were definitively transferred to Vindobona and Carnuntum, in the province of Pannonia Superior. This study will underline the prosopography of the soldiers from Pannonia in these two units, mainly their origin, the recruitment and the military career. Also, we will emphasize some analogies with the other two legions stationed in Pannonia – “legio I Adiutrix” and “legio II Adiutrix”. In this case, we will stress the recruitment pattern.
