Running tourism in the context of sustainable development in the region

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to present the advantages of running tourism. The article describes the foundations of sustainable development and (following this trend) the sustainable tourism, acknowledging running tourism as its example. It also shows this phenomenon and shortly characterizes running events. Te paper indicates the potential of running tourism in the development of the region on the basis of its touristic functions and with respecting the rules of sustainable development.
