Summary/Abstract: IN THE PROCESS OF WORLD ECONOMIC INTEGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF VIETNAM, CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) BECOMES AN URGENT ISSUE. ESPECIALLY FOR THETOURISM INDUSTRY, CSR PRACTICE IS ALSO A METHOD TO GAIN THE SUSTAINABILITY AND THEDEVELOPMENT FOR VIETNAM. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PAPER IS TO ASSESS THE CSR PERCEPTIONIN TOURISM BUSINESSES IN PHU QUOC ISLAND - A FAST GROWING DESTINATION OF VIETNAM. THESTUDY EMPLOYS A SEQUENTIAL MIXED METHOD OF QUALITATIVE EXPLORATORY STUDY FROMVARIOUS DATA INCLUDING JOURNALS, BOOKS INCLUDING GREY PUBLICATIONS, INTERNAL POLICYREPORTS, MARKETING BROCHURES AND NEWSPAPER REPORTS OF THE ORGANIZATION ANDQUANTITATIVE METHOD BY SEMI-STRUCTURED INTERVIEWS CONDUCTED IN 20 COMPANIESARRANGING FROM TOUR OPERATOR BUSINESSES, HOTELS, TRAVEL AND TOURISM COMPANIES,CRAFT VILLAGES, ETC. THE FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE APPLIED TO PHU QUOCISLAND. FURTHERMORE, ITS LIMITATION ON SAMPLES AND STUDY SCOPE CAN BECOME THE ROOTFOR FURTHER RESEARCHES
