Summary/Abstract: SPEAKING ENGLISH BECOMES REALLY IMPORTANT IN VIETNAM ESPECIALLY FOR THE TIME OFINTERNATIONAL AND GLOBAL INTEGRATION. THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES (FFD) ATVAN LANG UNIVERSITY DESIRES TO TRAIN STUDENTS TO SPEAK ENGLISH WELL TO WORK IN THECOMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT; HOWEVER, MOST OF THE STUDENTS ARE NOT SPEAKING FLUENTLY.THIS STUDY IS DONE WITH THE QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH METHOD USING SPSS SOFTWARETHROUGH LIKERT SCALE TO FIND THE POOR FACTORS IN THEIR ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS. THATRESULT LEADS TO RECOMMENDATIONS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF SPEAKING AND TEACHINGENGLISH IN THE FACULTY IN PARTICULAR AND IN THE UNIVERSITY IN GENERAL.
