Summary/Abstract: The article comments on translations of Bulgarian literature in Poland in 2015, basing its findings on literary analyses for the purpose of presenting preferences in the readers’ market in terms of genre forms, conventions, styles, and subject matter. In the abovementioned year, translations (by Hanna Karpińska) of the following works were published: Kalin Terziyski’s collection of short stories “Is there anybody to love you?”, Zachary Karabashliev’s road novel “18% gray”, and Georgi Tenev’s crime drama “The Evil Prince”. The writers created texts for a wide array of readers, based on the realistic convention, simplified stylistics, and topics that relate to readers’ everyday experiences. The problems of contemporary life (that of the individual, society, or politics) touched upon in such works elicit strong emotional reactions from readers.
