RESTORATION OF A COLLECTION WITH WOMEN FASHION DESIGNS FROM PARIS AND BERLIN, 1880-1913

Summary/Abstract: The restoration of this fashion plate collection with women fashion designs from Paris and Berlin illustrated in colours had as purpose the improvement of the health and evidencing the aesthetic value. The fashion plates have been evaluated from the point of view of conservation state and underwent proper restoration treatments, according to the suffered deteriorations: disinfection, dry mechanical cleaning, consolidation with Japanese veil of the deteriorated parts, completion with Japanese paper of the voids, getting rid of the veil and Japanese paper excess, pressing.
