Summary/Abstract: Minimalism is still a problematic concept and writers experiencesometimes some difficulties in accepting a designation as a minimalist.Our paper has a double object: retrace the evolution of the concept ofminimalism and some of the diverse points of view it generated; thesecond part of the analysis focuses on the writing particularities in Jean-Philippe Toussaint’s novel Fuir, from the perspective of contemporaryminimalism.
