Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to dispute dialectics of spontaneity and interpellation referring to the perspective of historical and social materialism and interpreting the considerations of Rosa Luxemburg. I characterize spontaneity (Spontaneität) as internal and undefined without any clear permission of reason to act and the action itself; and I characterize the elemental (Elementargewalt) as external, visible, 185SPONTANIŠKUMO IR INTERPELIACIJOS DIALEKTIKA: ROSOS LUXEMBURG SAMPROTAVIMŲ TEMA and independent movement of large groups or masses that break down regulations, standards and regimes. I make a distinction between the developed spontaneity, the advanced elemental dependent on taste and experience of alternatives (as a special recognition stance) from banal and repetitive chaos, as an unreflective reaction to recurrent stimulus. The dialectical relationship or political negotiation between spontaneity and ideological interpellation is a relevant question of direct (protest) actions and revolutions and could be interpreted in the context of political parties and communities. The developed spontaneity and the elemental define the negotiation response to ideological invitations (interpellations). Historical materialism, as it was formulated by many of classical Marxists, was already defined by the program narratives and did not analyze the self-learning spontaneity, the self-studied transformation, the creative Aufheben, and the multiplying of alternatives and deviations. For a long time, the spontaneity was considered as an issue of party’s factionalism: as dangerous deviations, revisionism, opportunism etc. As a central example for my considerations, I have chosen the actions of trade unions, local councils and public committees, the changes of their identities and influences of them on the social-economical processes. The main opposition discussed in the article is between the self-development of spontaneous, elemental political groups, on the one hand, and continuous party ideology, on the other. The author of the article distinguishes strong and weak interactions between experiential self-learning from manipulative ideology. The paper disputes the concept of engaged liberation as an opposite to liberation-from and considers the engaged liberation as a precondition of communal or public self-othering. The public self-othering helps to transform social reality through liberate engaging. Dialectics of spontaneity explains the intervention of Other-being into custom reality, the changing of mutual relationships through political negotiations and through the breaking of ideological and program presuppositions.
