HISTORICAL MOMENTS THAT INFLUENCED POLITICAL AND MILITARY DIPLOMACY

Summary/Abstract: The principles of relations among states are fundamental rules of International Law, the most important rules of states behavior within the international community. The mandatory compliance with these principles derives from the fact that they are universally accepted, expressing the objective conditions of ensuring cooperation among all states. Diplomacy is an institution in which the social interferes with politics, it is part of each state system of institutions and also of a large network of internationally accepted ones. Political diplomacy and military diplomacy are two concepts that are not mutually exclusive. Moreover, they have evolved together throughout history, managing to harmonize and operate in synchronism which ensures the success of the basic functions of diplomacy on the implementation of the foreign policy of the State, on the protection of the human rights and on the promotion of the State interests and in the same time contributing to the development of cooperation relations among the armies of different States and ensuring the necessary conditions for building and maintaining political and military alliances.
