Summary/Abstract: The rapid evolutions of the strategic context in the international arena have highlighted the role of international security organizations in preventing, managing and resolving conflicts and humanitarian crises. In cases of an acute crisis, when the situation oscillates between armed conflict and humanitarian crisis, it is necessary to find a middle way through dialogue to restore a fragile balance and start the reversible war-to-peace process. Finding solutions to reduce the risk of the armed conflicts, removing human suffering and having a long-term peace sustainability represent the goals of the international community that are reflected in the work of the international security organizations. This creates the premises for ensuring a global climate of security, stability and trust, based on international cooperation.
