PARTICULARITIES REGARDING MOVEMENT AND TRANSPORTATION DURING THE MOBILE DEFENSE OPERATION OF THE INFANTRY DIVISION

Summary/Abstract: One of the most important aspects related to the fulfillment of missions by an infantry division consists of an effective and timely logistic support provided by logistic units and subunits, for combat units and large units; during the mobile defense operation, the logistic support is customized for specific functional areas, getting other valences than the usual ones.Movement and transportation get together and form a main domain of a division’s logistic support and include the whole spectrum of infrastructures, organizations, facilities and equipment necessary for the deployment process (including reception, staging, on-ward movement and integration), the logistic sustainment and the redeployment of forces during the fulfillment of their mission.
