Summary/Abstract: Evangelists Mark and Luke clearly say about the leading of Jesus by the Spirit after baptism in Jordan. This statement is gaining a particular meaning in connection with St. Pauls statement, that “all who are guided by the Spirit of God, are sons of God”. Therefore guidance by the Spirit is an identifying sign of God’s sonship of the faithful, as it is in fact a sign of similarity to the only begotten Son. Young Church also experiences leadership of the Spirit in apostles mission: the Spirit indicates specific tasks for the preachers of the Gospel, or doesn’t allow to go in the intended direction. But outside these special cases of “spatial” leadership, there is also – and it is common to all believers – internal guidance by the Spirit on the way of faithfulness to the God. More than once it involves the struggle with human weakness, but leads to the holiness and knowledge of God.
