Summary/Abstract: The paper is a comparative study of two poems by Jerzy Ficowski in memory of BrunoSchulz. Cliché-verre [glass printing plate cast] is a special technique used by the authorof The Cinnamon Shops in his Booke of Idolatry, unprecedented in the history of Polish graphic art. As an interpretation formula, it enables to track the poetic creation of the figure of Schulz from a disportrait (a negative exposition of his strong absence) to anapocryph (an expressive reconstruction, and, more specifically, re-creation of the artist beginning his artistic journey, presented in a light of a biographical context). The paper discusses the main connections between the works of both authors, philosophical assumptions of the master implemented by Ficowski, analogous mythological constructions, and references to the Jewish Kabbalah focused on the main motif of the Book.
