Summary/Abstract: Name of Sedat Veyis Örnek and his works are recognized by almost everybody that works in the field of folklore. Sedat Veyis Örnek, who lived for 53 years, signed a lot of academic and literary works between 1927 and 1980. Örnek’s studies contributed significant knowledge to the field of folklore. However, he had a literary character that was not known by everybody besides contributing signitific knowledge to the field of folklore. Örnek did many story critiques and short theatres that were not well known by everybody and also translations. Beside of his academic character, his literary texts were revealed his versatility. In this study, we mentioned about description and usage of places in which passed the nineteen stories that were written by Sedat Veyis Örnek on the Sivas Hakikat Newspaper between 1957-1965. Thinking is not possible for that places independent from stories in the literary works and verbal story of folk literature. In fact, creators of works take significant places on the connection of place and works. Because Characteristic and psychological signs of creator exist on the descriptions of the places. For this reason, when places that are mentioned in the works are examined, clues about author should be necessary. In these nineteen examining stories, it is needed that Sedat Veyis Örnek’s life and pyscological reflection to the life must be mentioned. Taverns, coffee houses, prisons, squares, cemetery, and etc places which were mentioned in the Örnek’s story are evaluated according to this aspect. The places which were mentioned in the works are evaluated according to author’s imagination and used context.
