Summary/Abstract: After the establishment of Hungarian power several schools for girls in Serbian language were founded, for the girls who wanted to continue their schooling after finished four-year primary school. Special place among them belongs to higher schools for girls in Pancevo, even though the so called schools for housewives and old trade schools were also important.
