Summary/Abstract: The dialectical etymology of interpretation of the concept “presentation” as a kind of speaking activity will be discussed in this article. The author highlighted its two interrelated but not identical components, which are information and persuasion. A methodological aspect of both parts of the presentation is considered, and the information properties and principles of persuasion are characterized. It was theoretically substantiated that information and persuasion are in a dialectical relationship and are independent components; their sum is presentation.
