Summary/Abstract: Some researchers have regularly been predicting an approaching end of sociology, so the others have had enough time to get used to such predictions. Yet, recently the question of the Trans-Humanism Crisis and its consequences for the development of sciences have become quite popular. The mechanism of how sociological theories are shaped are described as a reply to the problems of the modern society, and the foundations of a social order are sought for in the theory of the social system or the one of the social change. Nowadays, the phenomena that accompany the creation of the post-modern society challenge the usefulness of the methods and instruments of sociological analysis used so far. There appear doubts about the legitimacy of applying the Chaos Theory and – more generally – the Systems Theory (taken from natural sciences) in social sciences, especially in sociology.
