Summary/Abstract: Pedophilia is one of the taboos of society that no one wants to talk, criticize in front of people. Pedophilia and child sexual abuse are generally seen as morally wrong and abnormal by society. Pedophilia is the sexual preference for or a strong sexual interest in children. The term usually refers only to sexual preference for/interest in prepubescent or early pubescent children and most sexual offenders against children are male, Although what causes pedophilia is not yet known clearly researchers report a series of findings linking pedophilia with brain structure and function. these studies find associations between pedophilia and lower IQs, poorer scores on memory tests, greater probability of having suffered childhood head injuries resulting in unconsciousness and sexual abuse in their childhood. The incidence of pedophilia has been markedly underestimated because most of the time the pedophile is a relative or neighbour. It is essential that pedophilia be reported so that appropriate steps can be taken to protect the children involved and all other children. Researches show that that there was a great deal of misunderstanding and unrealistic perceptions in the general public about pedophilia. By the help of social projects this subject can reach lots of people through media and art. By this way it is indicated that the public’s perception has gradually become more well-informed on the subject. In this study two European playwrights plays are analysed in the aspect of pedophilia victim and society. Scottish playwright David Harrower in his play Blackbird deals with pedophile and victim relation with the perspect of lover-lover that the society does not appreciate. English playwright Byron Lavery in his play Frozen focuses on the childhood of the pedophile.
