Summary/Abstract: Having an important place in our intellectual history with his translations, articles and documentaries, Sabahattin Eyuboğlu made use of philosophy as much as many other disciplines, in explaining thoughts. Influenced especially by the French culture, he as a philosopher has a non-ignorable place in today’s intellectual perspective. Based on the articles which were written by Eyuboğlu in different periods of time and which touch on different points of the life, this article aims to make a philosophical analysis on relationship made between the ideas of different philosophers on similar issues. For this purpose, based on big and visible difficulties of the discussions on pietism and contemporary, his explanations which take democracy and modernity as basis are evaluated. On the other hand, Eyuboğlu’s view of nature and his ideas regarding the natural place of human being, and in connection with them, his particular and path-breaking ideas regarding writing, living and future are subject to a philosophical analysis, based on the ideas of different philosophers. That Eyuboğlu was aware of past, present and future but standed by the new one; doing that, he never give up the strong basis of the past and never compromised what he knew as right, that he looked for new truths in present and in the future are Eyuboğlu’s prominent characteristic features. Moreover, based on his articles, Eyuboğlu’s consistency in his explanations and critics regarding the community are also given and commented in this article. Meanwhile, his identity and personality are also partly shared with the readers.
