Summary/Abstract: This paper presents 17 polished stone tools from ‘Măgura Ţui’ tell settlement, Ciolăneştii din Deal (Teleorman County). They were discovered during the archaeological excavation campaigns of 1964 and 1966. More than half of them come from a level associated with burnt houses. There are three perforated axes, broken in ancient times, three wedge axes and eleven adzes. Rocks with a medium or a higher hardness were preferred as the raw material. There is a small adze worked of Alpine jade which was identified by P. Petrequin. Perforated axes are fragmentary, being broken at the perforation. They are two morphological types of the polished tools. In terms of hardness, colour and grain, the adzes and the flat axes were made from various rocks. Traces of wear show heavy use. Their lengths are between 34 and 145 mm, and the biggest piece is a flat axe. Their shapes are rectangular and trapezoidal.
