Summary/Abstract: The article is a detailed analysis of Leszek Kołakowski’s thoughts about Jesus. Referring to two significant texts of the emigrant philosopher: the article „Jesus Christ - prophet and reformer,” 1965, and the posthumously published essay from the mid-eighties: „Jesus ridiculed. Essay apologetic and skeptical,” the author shows the development of Kołakowski’s outlook on the Person of the Master of Nazareth. The whole discussion is preceded by a sketch of Kolakowski’s views on religion with special emphasis on theory of myth, and followed by the conclusions drawn in the perspective of fundamental theology.
